Everest is ideal spot for a pre-show dinner

Among the press releases in my inbox last week was this one regarding the Everest, located on the 40th floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange where you can enjoy specialties of world renown Chef Jean Joho. Turns out it is the perfect place to have dinner if you're planning to head to a show in the theatre district this fall. And what a deal...pre-purchase your meal at a set price that includes complimentary parking. How awesome is that? Be sure to visit Everest on Facebook, too.

PRE-THEATRE DINING AT EVEREST TAKES CENTER STAGE
With Launch of Theatre Season, Relaxed and Elegant Pre-Performance Menu Gets Diners to the Show on Time

CHICAGO – August 1, 2012 – As Chicago’s cultural season approaches, Everest is waiting in the wings with a newly launched pre-theatre dining menu that steals the scene.
Diners catching a show in Chicago’s downtown theatre district can enjoy a luxurious, three-course meal from a daily changing menu, experiencing the best of Everest for $54 per person. To ensure a smooth and relaxing evening, patrons can pre-pay for the meal as well as take advantage of Everest’s complimentary parking for the evening. Diners can then breeze out of dinner without worrying about searching for downtown parking near the theater.
“The whole experience of a night at the theatre in Chicago is an event to be remembered, and a stop at Everest is that first act that sets the tone,” said Chef Joho of Everest. “Our entire aim is to have guests start the evening with a lovely meal and leave happy and energized for the performance.”
Dinner begins with les preludes, Everest’s world-renown appetizers. Starters such as  cold-pressed Maine lobster with potato, hazelnut and celery emulsion follow. Main courses include veal tenderloin, compote of Michigan peas, asparagus and wild morels. The meal is completed with one of Everest’s scene-stealing desserts like the parfait of Michigan blueberries, sheep’s milk caramel glacé. The constantly changing menu reflects the freshest seasonal ingredients, so as summer progresses into fall, guests will enjoy the finest of the harvests from Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. Wine pairing can be expertly performed by our sommelier.
To make reservations for the pre-theatre dinner, or for any questions, diners can call Everest at 312-663-8920.
