Redamak's in New Buffalo, Michigan

We make frequent trips up to Southwest Michigan and often dine at the same places. For a long time I've been hearing about Redamak's in New Buffalo, which is known for its burgers. Those who visit usually brag about the place, but one local had told me that it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be, so we weren't in any hurry to visit.

On our last day trip before the kids got out of school, my husband and I went up to spend some time walking around, visiting the beach and having lunch. We decided to finally try out Redamak's and we did recognize what all the fuss is about. The burgers would pretty darned good - and we were impressed with how inexpensive it was to eat there. On weekdays, there is a special for a burger and fries for $5. With drinks, our lunch was under $14. We left full and happy and decided we'll have to return this summer with the kids.

We were there before Memorial Day when it was quiet, but I've heard the lines are long in the peak of travel season, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit. But, it will be worth it.

Look at some of these dessert options -- Deep Fried Bananas Foster with chocolate syrup for dipping??? Might have to give that a try!

  2. Hope you made it there, Shane. Great burgers!!! Kinda remind of the ones I used to get at Al's Diner. Remember that place?
