JULY 24: NICHE TEAMS UP WITH JEFFREY HUNT AND THE ST. CHARLES SINGERS FOR AN EVENING OF MUSIC AND FINE DINING

GENEVA, Ill. (July 12, 2013) – Niche restaurant (www.nichegeneva.com) is pleased to announce an evening of fine dining and music featuring the nationally acclaimed conductor Jeffrey Hunt and the St. Charles Singers.
The Wed., July 24 dinner and performance begins with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. A three-course tasting menu created by executive chef Serena Perdue will accompany the live performance at 6:30 p.m.
Chef Perdue’s three-course menu includes mixed greens from Bull Run Farm and figs, Nueskes bacon, pine nuts and fig port vinaigrette; braised short rib with Bull Run Farm kale, apple, farro, and confit lemon; and for dessert a beignet sampler including goat cheese and cherry, chocolate and strawberry.
The evening is priced at $65 per person, and reservations can be made by calling Niche at (630) 262-1000.

About Jeffrey Hunt and the St. Charles Singers
Jeffrey Hunt is the director of St. Charles Singers, a professional chamber choir he founded in 1984 in St. Charles, Ill.   The choir regularly performs in many venues throughout Chicago and the surrounding area and has performed nationally and internationally.  The St. Charles Singers have been guest conducted by John Rutter, Timothy Brown, Robert Hansen, Rossen Milavov, Jeannette Sorrrell, and James Conlon.  Under Hunt’s leadership the choir has produced three commercial recordings.  Recently the choir embarked on The Mozart Journey, a historic undertaking of 17 concerts through which the complete known volume of Mozart’s sacred choral compositions were performed and recorded.  The choir regularly commissions new choral music for the ensemble.  Composers have included: Charles Forsberg, George Shearing, Guyla Feketa, Robert Boyd, Nathanial Adams and Scott Stevenson.
