CHICAGO'S ORIGINAL ALL-WHITE POP-UP PICNIC IS BACK FOR 2013
Chicago, IL 8/27/13 - Last August, 1,600 people clad in all-white garb descended on Merchandise Mart to form Chicago in White, an elegant, locally-organized version of the worldwide "white picnic" trend.

"Our 2012 and 2011 events were both a rousing success and the feedback we received is of the highest praise," said co-founder Kelly McCoy Williams. "Chicago in White is an elegant yet whimsical event that appeals to Chicagoans from all walks of life. We have college students sitting next to stay-at-home moms sitting next to lawyers sitting next to DJs. It's truly an egalitarian evening."

On the evening of Sunday, September 22nd, attendees of this "refined foodie flash mob" will meet at Harmonization Points throughout the city, where the event's secret location will be revealed. Guests will converge on the location with their own white china, white napkins, silverware and glasses, plus food, in tow.

"This year, we're delighted to provide tables, chairs, and tablecloths for all of our guests," says co-founder Jennifer Dunham Luby. "When we asked our guests what could be improved, over and over we heard how nice it would be not to have to carry furniture on the El."

Wine, picnic baskets, and floral arrangements will also be available for advance purchase and on-site pickup. Tickets are $55, and will go on sale to the general public on August 28th, 2013 at www.ChicagoinWhite.com. 2012 ticket buyers and wait-listed guests will be granted an access code via email, which will hold a ticket in their name for a limited amount of time. This year's Chicago in White is a 21 and over event.
