Harvest Protein Balls

I've taken a couple trips out to the Chesterton European Market recently and have come across all kinds of goodies. I've also enjoyed talking to the vendors who are all so enthusiastic about what's for sale on their tables.

April, the founder of Harvest Circle Workshop, is so excited about her high-protien, naturally sweetened, gluten free products. I tried out a double dark protein ball, which was amazing. I sampled a few others on my most recent visit, including peanut butter and jelly. They are better than you'd expect for something billed as a healthy treat - really more like truffles - and there's such great texture and great layers of flavor. Her ingredients are locally sourced and it's really fun to hear her talk about the process. She also has homemade granola. And especially for the upcoming Popcorn Festival in Valparaiso on September 7, she was giving out samples of a new popcorn flavor. So, if you're planning on attending the fest, look for her!!!

She doesn't have a storefront (yet), so you can find Harvest Circle Workshop goodies at the the Chesterton European Market on Saturdays (except for this coming Sat. when she'll be at the Popcorn Fest) from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. which runs through October. And be sure to look for Harvest Circle Workshop on Facebook or visit www.harvestcircleworkshop.com.
