The Boarding House hosts a preview party offering details on the Silversea Silver Spirit, the wine-themed Mediterranean cruise featuring exclusive events and shore excursions with Master Sommelier Alpana Singh. Setting sail May 2014, the Silver Spirit invites wine and travel lovers to Italy and Spain with their favorite sommelier. Grape Harvest Soiree

As the annual grape harvest gets underway at wineries around the world, The Boarding House welcomes guests to celebrate with a tasting of past vintages. Attendees will sip ten wines from regions across the globe including Italy, Spain, United States, South America, France and more, paired with a selection of passed appetizers and housemade pizza. Singh will offer a notes and tips on what signals a good vintage and how to select the perfect wines for the upcoming entertaining season.

About The Boarding House
Opened in December 2012 by Proprietor and Master Sommelier Alpana Singh, The Boarding House is located in the heart of Chicago's River North neighborhood in a historic, multi-level building dating back to 1872. The restaurant includes an intimate, subterranean cellar lounge, a bustling first floor bar, and a dining room showcasing Alpana's carefully curated, 450-bottle wine list compliments The Boarding House's Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Private events are available for groups of all sizes.
The Dining Room is open Sunday and Monday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Bar is open Sunday through Friday: 4:30 p.m. to close and Saturday: 4:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.
