If you live near Northwest Indiana, put this place on your foodie bucket list. And if you don't live near NWI, make plans to visit anyway. It will be worth your trip.

Some may remember this spot as Venice Steakhouse - but it reopened in December with full ownership shifted over to Ryan Tosh, who redecorated and rebranded the sleek bar and eatery.

Everything that I've tried on my visits has been wonderful, with a favorite being the Salmon Blanc, a grilled Atlantic salmon served with grilled asparagus and roasted red potatoes topped with garlic lemon wine sauce.

The Chicken Venetian is also lovely - a panko encrusted chicken breast topped with basil and ricotta spread, roma tomatoes and provolone placed on top of cheese tortellini in a creamy alfredo sauce. Also, the calamari was the best I've had in a long, long time.

Aside from the dining room, there's a sunny atrium where we like to dine next to the waterfall.

Bin 27 also has been offering a brunch buffet on special occasions and it was where we went for Easter brunch, which had an ample selection of breakfast items, meats, salads and more.

Keep an eye on the Facebook page and website for specials, such as the Full Slab Thursday Special for $12.
