Celebrate World Tapas Day with complimentary Gazpacho shooters and handcrafted cocktails at El Tapeo

CHICAGO, IL – In honor of the second annual World Tapas Day on Thursday, June 15, El Tapeo, 2100 Spring Road in Oak Brook, will be celebrating by offering complimentary Gazpacho shooters to all guests.

The sleek restaurant offers modern Spanish cuisine from the award-winning Executive Chef Matthew Cappellini. With his innovative, comprehensive, and seasonal culinary style, Chef Cappellini presents a broad selection of small plates and main courses to share among family and friends, offering guests the perfect place to gather for this international dining holiday.
Fusing seasonal updates with traditional dishes and local ingredients, Chef Cappellini has crafted a bold, savory menu. The recently revamped spring menu includes Tapas favorites such as Croquettas de Pollo: braised chicken fritters with tarragon mustard sauce andEnsalada de Remolachas prepared from sangria gel, baby beets, mixed greens, and orange thyme vinaigrette; a new Paella de Diablo with spicy chorizo, shrimp, chicken, peas, peppers, onions and spicy aioli; and entrees including Cerdo Dulce: orange honey brined pork tenderloin, celery root puree, beer mustard, baby beets, Bajo Carbonizado: sea bass, charred leek puree, ramps, baby leeks, brown butter espuma, and Vieira Borracha made from scallops, corn puree, spring onion, bacon lardon, and brandied morels. To finish off the savory appetizers and entrees, the dessert menu includes Tarta de Rujbarbo, rhubarb and strawberry tart with mint puree and champagne sorbet.

Regular hours for the restaurant are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The lounge is open from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, offering happy hour Monday through Friday from 4p.m. to 6p.m. El Tapeo’s relaxing and inviting atmosphere allows for customers to unwind and enjoy delicious Tapas, all while taking in breathtaking views from the 9th floor.
