Ramen Tuesdays at Mora Asian Kitchen

Lemongrass Beef Ramen
One of our favorite restaurant discoveries this year was Mora Asian Kitchen in Bolingbrook. Foodie sister Becky lives not to far from this location and became a frequent diner (and Uber Eats) customer and from the first visit she has said that she wished they had ramen on the menu. Well, her wish came true and they are now serving up steamy loaded bowls of ramen at the restaurant - and better yet, on Tuesdays they have all-you-can-eat ramen for $15 with four different options - lemongrass beef, pork, shrimp or tofu. We were both impressed by this bowl that was overflowing with carrots and onions and bok choy and eggs. It won't be our last Ramen Tuesday stop for sure. Can't wait to return and try another variety.

Of course we couldn't resist enjoying a couple other favorite menu items and indulged in the Little Piggy Roll with crab, asparagus and bacon jam (also jalapeño but I opted to get it without the heat) and fried rice with pork belly and egg.

It was a chilly day and we enjoyed a little pot of jasmine tea and then finished with strawberry and vanilla mochi. It's not on the menu, but be sure to ask because it's the perfect little bit of sweetness to end on.

The Little Piggy Roll (minus the jalapeño).

If you're a ramen fan, mark your calendar for an upcoming Tuesday. And if you haven't yet visited Mora Asian Kitchen, make sure it's one of the restaurants you try in 2019. It's in a nice location in the Promenade in Bolingbrook and directly across from the theaters (perfect for a dinner and a movie date night.) In the warmer months, there's a nice patio area. Also, be sure to follow on Facebook for their fun events that have included a luau, late night dance parties, a New Year's Eve pajama party and weekend brunch.

They also opened another location recently in Oak Park and their sister restaurant, Mora Asian Fusion is located in Plainfield. For more info, visit moraasiankitchen.com.
