Visit the Hobnob for a Classic Wisconsin Supper Club Experience
At first I was a little disappointed that the dark winter days meant that we would miss the lakeside view, but if we'd been there during daylight hours we would have missed that nostalgic neon sign that pulled us in on a cold January evening. The sign itself gives a hint that you'll be stepping back into another time - one where the elegance of the 1950s is on full display.
The Terrace dining room has a full wall of windows for stunning views and in the lounge you can take in live music by a pianist of three-piece band.
I got a little tour of the restaurant on our visit, which features five uniquely designed dining rooms.
Kenosha Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, February 10 and selecting from the special fixed price menu is a great way to get a taste of what the Hobnob has to offer.
We sampled a few things on our visit - the first being a Wisconsin beer cheese soup and a spinach salad with a warm bacon dressing. Next up was shrimp cocktail.
Everything we did enjoy exceeded our expectations.
A revisit is definitely needed at another time when I can look out onto the lake as I sip on a Chocolate Grasshopper ice cream drink. And I'd encourage anyone who will be spending any time in that area, to fit a visit to this wonderfully nostalgic dining masterpiece into your trip.
