Lazy Dog Restaurants Launch Spring Menu

Chicken Shawarma Salad

Last week we attended a menu launch media dinner at the Lazy Dog Restaurants location in Oak Brook. It was my first experience at this national casual restaurant and bar chain. I love the dog theme with photos of dogs and sculptures throughout the restaurant. But I especially loved that they have a large patio area where dogs are welcome - and they even have a dog menu with a couple of dishes made just for the four-legged friends.

Korean Bao Buns

I enjoyed everything we tried - from the appetizers to the cocktails to the entrees to the dessert. Here's the full line-up of new menu items:

They've also done a little update of the kids menu:

New this spring, Lazy Dog is introducing a customizable Kid’s Grilled Chicken Bowl, served with rice + edamame beans and teriyaki on the side, with the option to upgrade to steak or salmon. The new bowl provides a balanced, approachable option for younger guests and families. The refreshed kid’s menu experience also features a more dynamic, interactive menu design, including interactive dog ears and sticker sheets for a fun brand moment at the table that encourages creativity and family connection.

They also offer a beer club with two-each of four different craft beers and its a fun way to be introduced to some new brews.

I was so excited to learn that they offer to go meals - as old school TV dinners. They come in the nostalgic tins that us 70s and 80s babies remember noshing on while watching sitcoms on weeknights. We brought home the lemon chicken and shepherds pie diners, which come with sides and even a little dessert. They run a special offer where if you buy 5, you get one free.

TV Dinners are available in nostalgic tins.
