Bass Lake Pub & Restaurant

Bass Lake is a place that holds special memories for me. As a teenager we visited the area with friends of my mom who had an RV at a campground on Bass Lake. In later years we visited the summer home of a husband's co-worker. In the last year or so, I've been out at Bass Lake in Indiana while staying at an Airbnb called The Lakehouse and Cabana. 

It's been a lovely place to stay for a mid-week off-season workcation. We hang out by the lake and I have beautiful surroundings to relax in and hit the keyboard. In the past we've ventured out for meals, but this time decided to spend all our time at the Lakehouse once we arrived. We had brought a cooler with some food and there's a lot of goodies stocked in the kitchen, but for dinner one night we ordered in from the Bass Lake Pub & Restaurant that is just down the road in Knox.

I opted for an ultra-thin crust sausage pizza. I love super think crunchy crust and this one definitely got a thumbs up. Good sauce and nice crunch with tasty sausage. Also, who can pass up deep fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks? We got both with the appetizer combo - and some onion rings for good measure. It was a nice casual meal that was worth the reasonable cost and allowed us even more time to chill at the Lakehouse. I'll keep the place in mind for sure on future visits.
