The Dairy Queen in Lansing isn't a Dairy Queen Braizer that is open all year long, so it's always nice to see Dairy Queen open up again after a long winter. After my son's soccer game last weekend, it was warm enough that ice cream seemed like a good idea. He got his usual, an Oreo Blizzard, and I got my favorite Dairy Queen treat, the Peanut Buster Parfait. I usually instead get a hot fudge sundae and ask for Spanish peanuts on it so that it's like a mini version, but since this was the first one of the year, I splurged on the full-size.
And I got another son the flavor of the month, which was a Kit Kat Blizzard. I insisted on trying a bite and it was fabulous. :)
