Ring in the new year at Osteria La Madia
If you are still contemplating where to eat your final meal of 2014, I've got a great suggestion for you. Osteria La Madia in River North has a recently revamped menu and a new look. The Chicago Foodie Sisters took some time during the busy month of December to attend a media lunch and see what's on the new menu at this eatery that got a makeover after a 7-year itch.
With some great contemporary takes on Italian classics, you'll find house-made fresh pastas and crisp pizzas with a variety of other carefully prepared specialties. Some of the dishes we sampled are on the menu for New Year's Eve prix fixe meal - like the Foie Grad Meatballs that were OMG unexpectedly probably my very favorite of the dishes that we tried. The Wild Boar Bolognese was another favorite that is on the NYE menu.
I got this press release in my inbox recently with details of their New Year's Eve menu. I'd totally recommend it as a way to say goodbye to 2014 in supreme foodie style. :) Nosh on!
