Valentine's Day is just around the corner. So, it's time to offer a few foodie suggestions when considering gifts for the ones you love. Here are a few of our recommendations.

THE BEEF JERKY FLOWER BOUQUET FROM THE MANLY MAN COMPANY

Guys can be hard to buy for. My husband knows that there are a few default gifts that will always make me smile - flowers, chocolate and going out for dinner. For him, it can be difficult to think of gift idea. I love that this guy gift is right on the money. All the males that live in my house love jerky and this is such a fun presentation. And after the bouquet has been consumed, the beer pint glass that serves as a vase can be used over and over. This bouquet of beef jerky from The Manly Man Company sells out quickly, so don't wait on this one. Oh, and another thing to love about the company - it's veteran-owned.

ABBOTT'S CANDIES

On a spring break trip with my family in 2019, we went to Dayton, Ohio to see the National Museum of the United States Air Force and then we spent a couple days exploring Wayne County, Indiana. Part of our trip was hitting up a bunch of stops on the Richmond and Wayne County Chocolate Trail. One of the stops was this adorable nostalgic candy shop in Hagerstown. It was a huge blast from the past when you walked into the store and factory with a 1950s Pepto-Bismol-pink color scheme. I had some of the best caramels ever at that store. You don't have to go all the way to the East Central part of the state to try them. Go to abbottscandy.com to get some for the one you love (and get a few for yourself, too).

TIDDLEYWINK TOFFEE

Based in Munster, Indiana, you might have seen this delicious ultra think toffee at artisan fairs and other events (before COVID anyway). It even made an appearance in the goodie bags a the Grammy Awards. My favorite is the milk chocolate pretzel toffee and I love how thin it is. You can order online at Tiddleywinktoffee.com or you can find it at Walt's Foods in Homewood, Illinois and Thornton Distilling Co and The Well Tasting Room in Thornton, Illinois.

ENGRAVED FORK

How do foodies say I love you? With something like this. I came across this just before Christmas and thought it was super cute. Find it an collron.com/fork. $19.99.
