Spoil Mom with Cooper's Hawk Dinner Kit and Inspiring Wines

If you're wanting to avoid the Mother's Day crowds, but want to make it a special day for mom at home, Cooper's Hawk meal kits are the way to go. I've gotten a couple of their kits this past year and they are amazing. All of the ingredients are measured out and nicely packed with step-by-step ingredients that can keep even the most inexperienced cook from messing up.

Just a few simple steps in reheating and you've got an impressive, visually appealing and scrumptious meal worthy of a wonderful mom who really needs a day to kick back and be taken care of.

The menu includes:

  • Pretzel Bread and Butter (a Cooper’s Hawk favorite!)
  • Mother’s Day Salad with mixed greens, radishes, cucumber, grape tomatoes, avocado, goat cheese, dried cherries, toasted Marcona almonds and honey mustard vinaigrette
  • Eight Parmesan Crusted Medallions with a choice of second protein: Pistachio Crusted Grouper, Dana's Parmesan Chicken or BBQ Bourbon Pork
  • Mary's Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans
  • Lemon Butter Cake

The kit serves four people for $159.99 and can be ordered on Eventbrite. Add on an extra treat for $15 – a box of six housemade truffles (two dark chocolate, two white chocolate and two orangesicle)! Pop some Cooper’s Hawk Prosecco for an additional $19.99. Pre-order by May 7. Meal kit pick-ups are available May 8 and 9 between 9-11AM and 1-3PM.

Another nice touch to add is wine! Coopers Hawk, of course, is known for their awesome wine selection and wine club, but there are some very special varieties you'll want to consider adding to your meal kit for mom.

One is Camille Proud. It's the wine label created by Master Sommelier Emily Wines. Her Camille wines are a tribute to strong women and what better way to celebrate the strongest woman you know? The label screams "empowerment" and is one that will go well with the parmesan crusted medallions and BBQ bourbon pork.

The wine is a Merlot, Cabernet, Franc and Malbec blend that’s loaded with blueberry, blackberry, and violet flavors along with complex spice, leather, and green herbs. Camille PROUD sells for $56.99 and can be easily added to your At-Home Meal Kit order.

Another way to celebrate mom with wine is with one of two elegant, limited edition wine bottles that house a deep ruby red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot from California. This blend is full bodied with moderate and slightly rustic tannins and loads of dark and red fruit. The finish is rich and long, with an exceptionally long spicy finish.

Chose one of these to add to your meal kit or present to mom in a gift bag to enjoy later.

  • Queen, Goddess, Heroine, Mother ($64.99)
  •  If Moms Were Flowers, I’d Pick You ($74.99)

And, of course, there's the option of taking mom out to enjoy a meal in the dining room or patio of one of their Chicago area locations. Their food is delicious and consistent and if you're a little intimidated by the wine pairing process, you'll find that the menu lists a bin number to help you match up the best wine with your dishes. The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and they can always help steer you in the right direction. And don't forget, you can begin your outing with a tasting in the tasting room, as well.
