Traditional cucumber sandwiches

Found this one in the drafts that I should have shared a month ago since we're now in the thick of the holiday vibes. Anyway, I had some friends over for a little fall tea/luncheon and one thing I served was cucumber sandwiches. 

Whenever I go to a tea room, cucumber sandwiches are my very favorite thing on the menu. They're so simple and light. They never taste quite the same when I make them at home - I've tried a few different things to thin out the cream cheese (adding a little mayonnaise or sour cream). I've done different thicknesses on the cucumbers. I've experimented with different breads. I've used traditional cucumbers and seedless ones. I always have to have fresh dill, though. That's a must.
