Royal Masquerade Ball at the Haunted Castle

Shortly after moving to Valparaiso, Indiana in 2022, I was eager to meet new people and find a group of women who were involved in the community and did projects to benefit the community. I'd been a longtime member and officer in The Lansing Junior Woman's Club before moving and I was excited to learn that there was a Valparaiso Women's Association. I went to a meeting and became a member and have enjoyed being part of this group of amazing women.

Their big fundraising event each year is a masquerade ball held in the organization's clubhouse, which was built around 1902 and has been the home of the club for 100 years. This year's ball had the theme of "Royal Masquerade Ball at the Haunted Castle."

The food (from Albano's) and desserts (from Bao's, Roots Cafe and Bao's Pastry) were delicious. The signature cocktails were yummy. The costume's were impressive and it was a wonderful evening where we danced the night away.
