Gals & Grapes Wine Pairing Dinner at Tosi’s

This past summer, my husband started forwarding emails to me that he was getting from Tosi's in Stevensville, Michigan. He had surprised me a couple years ago with a Valentine's Day dinner there and it has since remained one of my favorite restaurants.

In the emails he was sending me was info on a Gals & Grapes series that they were offering. I thought it was happening just for a couple months in the summer, but it turns out it is a monthly thing. One Thursday a month, a big dining room there turns into a Girls Night Out destination where you get a prix fixe dinner that is usually three courses along with wine pairings.

I finally had an available date to attend and my friend Janet and I made our way up north for the October dinner. The dinner went along with the Halloween/fall theme with an amazing autumn salad, a stuffed green pepper and then a spooky panna cotta on the menu. Each one came with a wine pairing. Everything was delicious and I loved that you're not rushed to leave after the dinner - they top off your glasses and let you linger for a bit.

I can't wait to attend another in the future. The next one is coming up on November 20. They don't hold one in December since they are so busy with holiday parties, but the dinner resumes after the first of the year. Visit tosis.com for more information.
