Room service at the Palmer House Hilton

As a mom of five boys who cooks most nights, I'm always grateful for an opportunity to dine out and have someone else do the cooking and clean-up. And when I'm traveling, there is nothing better than the luxury of hotel room service. 

On a recent stay in Chicago with my oldest son as we visited the Cubs Convention, I decided that rather than trying to make it down to the dining room or seeking out a restaurant that we would just sleep in as late as possible and have breakfast brought to us. We were staying at the fabulous Palmer House Hilton, a historical masterpiece with a wonderful old-school elegance. I'm not a big pancake person, but the red velvet pancakes with blueberry compote were scrumptious!
