I made a recent trip to Olive Garden with my dad and my oldest son. One of dad's favorite meals is the soup, salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden. He usually starts out with Pasta e Fagioli and then refills with Zuppa Toscana. When I go for lunch time, I usually get soup as well. I've really gotten to like the Chicken Gnocchi soup.
Dad was running a little late, so my son and I decided to get an appetizer while we waited. We glanced at the lunch menu and ordered the Shrimp Scampi Fritta - lightly breaded and fried shrimp tossed with garlic and white wine butter sauce. It was a delicious, light starter and I've been craving it ever since.
Then I followed up with the usual - soup, salad and breadsticks.
