Stuff those peppers
Stuffed peppers are on of those dishes that make your house smell AMAZING!!!!
The best time to make them is in the summer when you can pull some ripe ones from the garden.
6 to 8 green peppers, cleaned and boiled
One pound ground beef
1 tsp. Seasoned salt
1 boil-in-bag rice
3 cups pasta sauce
1 can diced seasoned tomatoes
Parmesan cheese
Add seasoning salt to ground beef and brown. Boil rice as meat browns. Drain meat and rice. Add rice, sauce and tomatoes to meat (reserve about a cup of the sauce.) Simmer for about 15 minutes. Scoop filling into peppers. Pour sauce over each pepper. Bake for 30 - 40 minutes. Remove, sprinkle top with Parmesan (and additional cheese like mozzarella, if preferred.) Return to oven for five minutes.
