Bakersfield: Indianapolis, Indiana
On a recent press trip to Indianapolis, our hostess, Kimberly, brought the group out for dinner at Bakersfield, a tex-mex place on trendy Mass Ave. The menu is short and sweet - a handful of appetizers, a couple salads, a couple tortas and tacos. That's all they need to wow you. Oh, and the cocktails are not to be missed, especially if you have a fondness for margaritas.
The queso and guacamole were excellent - loved the red radish garnish with the guac!
After munching and dipping, out came the main attraction - the tacos, which were well worth waiting for. I tried the short rib taco, which impressed me and then I tried the fish taco, which amazed me. It featured crispy mahi with lime tabasco and citrus slaw. Should you be in the Indy area, take in a meal at Bakersfield, which is open for lunch and dinner.
