YLNI Farmer's Market in Fort Wayne, IN

I've just returned from eight days on the road, which included the spring conference of the Midwest Travel Journalists Association. The location for the conference was Fort Wayne, Indiana. It's one of the first places I visited as a travel writer when I started over two decades ago. I've returned a few times in recent years and have loved seeing the transformation of the downtown.

One of our activities during the conference was getting early access to the YLNI (Young Leaders of Northeastern Indiana) Farmer's Market. It was the last winter market of the season, held in part of the building that houses Aunt Millie's Bakery. Starting in May through September, they move to outside to the historic Barr Street Market. It has grown quite a bit over the years and now includes about 130 vendors - everything from produce to jewelry to baked goods to honey to artisan crafts.
