The Boarding House hosts a Mother’s Day Soiree
Toast mom and treat her to a special wine tasting at The Boarding Houseon Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hosted by Master Sommelier Alpana Singh, the Mother’s Day Wine Soiree will feature a sampling of wines from around the world creating an engaging and fun way to celebrate. Tickets to the Mother’s Day Wine Soiree cost $38 per person and are available for purchase here.
On Mother’s Day, the restaurant will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., providing a great opportunity for Wine Soiree guests to dine prior to or following the featured wine tasting event. The restaurant will be offering a modified holiday menu with a special brunch and seasonal dishes. Additionally, anyone who dines in the dining room or bar either before or after the Wine Soiree will receive 10% off the dining bill, before taxes.

Opened in December 2012 by Proprietor and Master Sommelier Alpana Singh, The Boarding House is located in the heart of Chicago’s River North neighborhood in a historic, multi-level building dating back to 1872. The restaurant includes an intimate, subterranean cellar lounge, a bustling first floor bar, and a dining room showcasing Alpana’s carefully curated, 450-bottle wine list that compliments Chef Tanya Baker’s Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Private events are available for groups of all sizes.
The Dining Room is open Sunday and Monday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Bar is open Sunday through Friday: 4:30 p.m. to close and Saturday: 4:30 p.m. to close.
