Three Chicago destinations collaborate on dinner to benefit Chicago Film Archives

From the inbox this week, a fabulous dinner is in the works to benefit the Chicago Film Archives. Check out the scrumptious details.

The Hideout, one of Chicago's oldest and beloved hangouts and DMK Restaurants' Ada St. and County Barbeque are teaming up for On The Table, a dinner event on Monday, May 12. The evening, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia), will celebrate the Chicago Film Archives' (CFA) 10th Anniversary.

Diners will enjoy seasonal dishes from Ada St. and regional barbecue fare from County Barbeque, complemented by an array of tasty beverages. By viewing CFA films that reflect Chicago's communities from the past, guests can help generate new ideas about the CFA's collective future.

The cost is $99 for two guests and includes food, beer, and wine and all proceeds benefit the Chicago Film Archives. Tickets can be purchased at hideoutchicago.com.

Chicago Film Archives is a non-profit 501(c)(3) institution established in late 2003 in order to preserve and catalogue over five thousand 16mm films donated by the Chicago Public Library. Director, Nancy Watrous and a few devoted film archivists conceived a plan to create a regional film archive that conserves, promotes and exhibits moving image materials that reflect Chicago and Midwest history and culture.
