Take Steaks to the Next Level with Trader Joe's Garlic Parmesan Butter
For years I have touted the quality of the steaks at Trader Joe's, particularly the filet mignon. It's truly my favorite place to buy filets if we are planning to make them at home. I've yet to find a meat market, butcher or grocery store where I like them as much. Each time we make them, I say that they rival steaks I've gotten in restaurants.
Usually I stick to filet in its pure form - a little of the juice poured over the top and perhaps some sautéed mushrooms on top or to the side. I've enjoyed various sauces I've had at restaurants over the years that have accompanied my steaks - from chimichuri to horseradish sauce to béarnaise to wine-infused butters and beyond. Yet, a naked steak has been my preference.
However, I think that has changed - and its due to another Trader Joe's product. On my last visit, I picked up a little log of garlic parmesan butter and I opted to place a disc on top of the filet as it finished cooking. It was phenomenal. It may be my new favorite way to serve my favorite filet. Be sure to try it on your next TJ's trip.
