Eataly to host Perugina chocolate demonstration

Perugina is Italy’s most famous Chocolatier and is best known for its iconic Baci chocolates. You'll have an opportunity to attend a special chocolate class at its world-famous chocolate school, now open at Eataly in Chicago.

The class instructor is Viola Buitoni, whose great-uncle, Giovanni, was one of Perugina’s legendary founders. Buitoni trained at the legendary Perugina La Scuola del Cioccolato in Perugia, Italy.

In this class, you will have a chance to create your very own hand-crafted Baci from traditional ingredients including gianduia, Perugina’s Luisa dark chocolate and fresh Italian hazelnuts. Hazelnuts are just one of my most favorite foods in the world and combine them with gourmet chocolates and I just turn to putty. :)

This lovely class will also cover the history of chocolate and include Baci-inspired desserts and Prosecco.

The class takes place on April 5 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
