Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Bites

I have had variations of this yummy snack at different events and my mouth watered when I saw that our sister-in-law, Maureen, brought this as an appetizer on Thanksgiving. Here's how she made hers.

Toothpicks
Fresh mozzarella
Fresh basil leaves
Red and yellow grape tomatoes
Salt and pepper
Olive Oil
Freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lemon zest

Place a ball of mozzarella on a toothpick, followed by a folded basil leaf and topped off with a tomato. Place down in a large pan, drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice and lemon zest and sprinkle salt and pepper on the mozzarella.

I've never had it with the lemon juice and found that I really love that addition.
