Frontera Grill

Rick Bayless is one of my favorite chef/restauranteur/tv food personalities, but somehow I had never made it into Frontera Grill, so when my sis was making plans to return and asked if I wanted to accompany her, it was a big fat YES!

With a menu that changes monthly, it's likely you won't find your favorite there again the next month, but some favorites make their way on the menu more often than not. Of all the items we sampled, the sopes rancheros were at the top of my list - and from what the waiter told me, it's such a popular item that it pretty much stays on the menu as it changes. The chocolate flan was also utterly amazing! I can't wait to return and try out some more of these unique and surprising twists on Mexican favorites.
