Chef John's European Bakery & Cafe: Ludington, Michigan

In this little series of posts I've been doing of past meals around the Midwest, I wanted to pop something up on this lovely little deli and cafe we came across when heading out of town on a spring trip to Ludington, Michigan a couple years ago.

We wanted to grab something to eat in the car as we left for home. This charming little spot had a nice little menu of soups, salads and sandwiches. We grabbed a Reuben sandwich, which was quite tasty and a few other things for the road - some jelly and bread. They also offer breakfast and it had a cute, cozy, old-school, classic feel. I wouldn't have minded lingering for a bit, but the road was waiting. I'd definitely return when revisiting the area to try more.
