Le Crepe du Jour Creperie & Cafe: Frankenmuth, Michigan
This past summer we visited Frankenmuth, Michigan for the first time. It's an adorable German-themed town and although the pandemic meant the trip was a bit scaled back, we still had a wonderful time being introduced to this cute touristy community.
One morning we went over to the little outdoor mall near the Bavarian Inn Lodge where we stayed. We had a couples massage and then walked around and shopped. It's designed like like a little village with winding little walkways and fun facades on the buildings. We were getting hungry for lunch and when I spotted La Crepe du Jour, I couldn't get in there fast enough to grab a crepe to nosh on.
They offer a nice selection of both sweet and savory. We picked up and ham and cheese crepe and later than afternoon returned with the kids for dessert crepes. I tried a strawberry cheesecake and also the banana nutella (my favorite). It was a perfect bite to enjoy while we walked for a bit and waited for out boat excursion to depart.
Hope to return maybe next year to see more of the town and this spot is one of the first places I'll hit up again for a lovely little walkable bite.
