JoJo's: Schaumburg, IL

This is a spot to mark down for next time you're looking for a place to go to for a hearty brunch. JoJo's in Schaumburg has pretty much anything you'd have a taste for. It's an all-day spot where you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a little of each if you can't decide. I love places where you can get breakfast all day and they really know how to do breakfast here.

You can go with a breakfast sandwich or wrap, oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, omelettes, skillets, crepes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, huevos rancheros, a plate of eggs made your way with a choice of meat and more. 

We tried out a couple breakfast items (even though it was about 3 p.m. when we visited - as I said, I love the option of breakfast all day). I had a Cali Crepe, which came as a huge portion of two loaded crepes covered in a rich hollandaise sauce. It was stuffed with scrambled eggs, avocado, spinach, bacon, pepper jack and cheddar cheese. It was so satisfying and so big that I ate leftovers for breakfast for the next two days.

They have a number of "JoJo's Exclusives" on the menu and hubby ordered one of them - the Homestyle Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Lumberjack Combo. You would for sure need a lumberjack appetite to finish it. It covered all the bases, coming with 3 pieces of homestyle cinnamon French toast, two eggs of any style, two slices of bacon, two sausage links, sliced ham and hash browns.

I also wanted to try out more of a lunch item and our server recommended the Black Forest Sandwich - and it was a great call. It was roast turkey (like real carved turkey), bacon, tomato, lettuce, avocado, and Swiss cheese on a pretzel roll with honey mustard. It also was served with some of their fried, which were crunch outside and perfectly soft inside. I contemplated dessert and decided on a milkshake - a perfect finish to the meal. 

They also have a nice dinner menu that I didn't have room for, but if you're looking for something being sandwiches and burgers, consider trying out the roast turkey dinner, chicken marsala, homemade lasagna, fettuccine shrimp Alfredo, slab of ribs, fried chicken or more.
