Last week, I went to my kids' school for the annual end of the year PTA Luncheon that is held during Teacher Appreciation Week. The PTA members who have served as head room parents or been head of a committee are invited and all the teachers come down during their lunch break for a meal compliments of the PTA.
Each year the event is catered and this was the second year it was catered by Special Occasions, which is located in Country Club Hills and operated by Michael Reno. All the food, including the desserts, are freshly made. Here's a look at what was served.
The chicken was fantastic - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. And being the carbaholic I am, I also loved the potatoes, which were well-seasoned. I'd eaten a late breakfast and didn't have a huge appetite, so I didn't try everything, but the beef also got rave reviews.
Here's Laura, who coordinated the luncheon.
And a peek at the mouthwatering desserts...
