Bell's Brewery Tour
While on a little beercation in Southwest Michigan, we visited five separate breweries. Most of them were brewpubs where we had some bites and flights. One brewery visit was to Bell's Brewery where we took a tour of their Comstock Brewery. Free tours are offered on the hour from noon - 5 (noon - 4 on Sundays). The also do tours in their Kalamazoo brewpub
We had a small tour group of just four and the tour included the brewing process, fermentation and packaging with sampling to do along the way. The tour was just under an hour. We got a little background on where the name came from (spoiler: it's the last name of founder Larry Bell, who actually hails from the Chicago burbs) and how Bell's grew to be one of the largest craft breweries. Reserve a tour time at bellsbeer.com.
