Chocolate chunk brownies from Foodie's Market Cafe
I happen to be in Dyer last week with my son for a birthday party at Funflatables and I couldn't resist stopping in Foodie's Market Cafe. I went in to shop, but realized I hadn't eaten anything yet - no breakfast, no lunch and it was at 2 p.m., so it wasn't hard to convince myself to sit down and enjoy lunch.
I got the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo for $7.25. You're able to choose any sandwich, except for the wraps, so I got my favorite of the sandwiches on the menu, the Reuben! I paired it with a cup (I think it was a cup, but looked large enough to be a bowl!) of steak and ale soup that was quite yummy.
I didn't have my camera with me for the meal, but I did bring home this gooey chocolate brownie for dessert. I had a hard time choosing between this and the kitchen-sink cookie. But, since I've had the cookie a couple times before, but never tried the brownie, the brownie won. It was a good choice. My kids spotted it, so I ended up cutting it up into bite sized pieces and got about a fourth of the brownie, but it was so rich that it was more than enough.
