Tantalizing offerings on the summer menu at Michael Jordan's Steak House

I'm back from a few days out of town and catching up on my very full inbox, so I'll share a few yummy press releases that came my way in the past few days. Like this one...all about the summer menu at the steak house of every Chicagoans all-time favorite basketball player. Take a look:

Summer in the city is in full swing, and Michael Jordan's Steak House is embracing the season by announcing several new offerings and specials for guests to enjoy whether visiting from out of town or a neighborhood regular. Highlights include:

  • Summer Menu at MJ's: As an avid supporter of the local farmers markets, Michael Jordan's Steak House Executive Chef James O'Donnell has incorporated the freshest, most seasonal and local ingredients into his dishes for the summer. One of the highlights, Grilled Corn off the Cob ($9), is made from sweet corn from Nichol's Farm sautéed in chipotle butter and topped with grated Cotija cheese. The real all-stars of the summer menu? The Roasted-Free Range Chicken ($26) served with corn bread panzanella and cherry tomatoes and the Wild Salmon ($35) that has been smoked in cornhusks then served over a corn puree and garnished with a sweet corn salad-both dishes capture the flavors and essence of summertime in each bite.
  • Lunch at the Steak House: There aren't many things better than biting into a juicy, flavorful burger on a summer afternoon. Chef O'Donnell is putting his spin on the quintessential summertime staple with an unbeatable team of powerhouse burgers rotating for lunch each day. An ode to Michael Jordan's days in North Carolina, the Pimento Cheese Burgerserved on a pretzel bun with cole slaw and crispy onion straws, brings the flavors of the South to Chicago. Craving something a little more Midwest? Bite into the Chili Cheese Burger with cheddar, onion and topped with crunchy Fritos. The full line-up includes:
    • Monday: Pimento Cheese Burger with crispy onions, cole slaw ($15)
    • Tuesday: Black and Wisconsin Blue Cheese Burger with balsamic onions ($16)
    • Wednesday: Patty Melt with two cheddars, bbq onion and bacon jam on sourdough ($17)
    • Thursday: Smoked Gaucho Burger with provolone, chimichurri and pickled onion ($17)
    • Friday: Beer Battered Halibut with sauce gribiche and American cheese ($17)
    • Weekend: Chili Cheese Burger with butcher shop chili, grated cheddar and Fritos ($16)
  • Make the Most of Long Summer Nights: For those who prefer their summer nights filled with sailing, fireworks, rooftop parties and walking along the lakefront, they can dine early and enjoy the rest of the summer evening outside. The summer prix-fixe menu at Michael Jordan's Steak House allows just that. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. come dine on a three-course menu crafted by Chef O'Donnell for $49.95.
