DMK Burger Bar announces August Menu additions

DMK Burger Bar sent me an e-mail with the highlights of their August menu and some new offerings. Take a big, delicious look:

The month of August brings new and delicious reasons to pay a visit to DMK Burger Bar, including a brand new #15 special burger - the Chicken n' Stuff - and the must-try Peanut Butter Oreo Milkshake. DMK Burger Bar (in Lakeview and Lombard) continue to surprise guests by introducing brand new #15 special burgers, debuting new creative flavor combinations that are only available for a limited time. In addition to the #15 burger, a shake of the month is also featured to wash down burgers, fries, mac & cheese and more.

Available beginning this August, the Chicken n' Stuff ($10) entices diners with a chicken patty prepared with black beans, corn, jalapenos and red peppers. Topped with grilled onions, green peppers, cheddar cheese, avocado, tortilla strips and sour cream drizzle, fans of this southwestern creation will wish this burger was a menu staple.

Then, shake up August even more with the Peanut ButterOreo Milkshake ($5)! A decadent mix of favorite dessert flavors, this summer special is sure to cool you off on a hot August day. As part of the 365 Days of Giving efforts, during the week of August 19, proceeds from the Peanut Butter Oreo Milkshake will benefit Share Our Strength, in an effort to stop childhood hunger.

In addition to the month's special treats, diners are invited in to DMK Burger Bar to enjoy all of the summer's offerings. Zesty burgers include the #6 - Chorizo, Guacamole, Sonoma Jack, Chipotle Aioli, Cilantro, Onions and #14 - Fresh Salmon, Ginger & Scallion, Asian Slaw, Red Thai Curry Sauce. "Cool & Crunchy" salads; craveable fries including sweet potato fries with lemon tobacco aioli and amish blue and smoked bacon; cheesy mac & cheeses; and grilled cheeses await as well. Vanilla, chocolate, espresso and peanut butter shakes make up the rest of the milkshake options for cooling off this summer.

DMK Burger Bar's 365 Days of Giving program teams up with a different local non-profit organization every month to help raise funds and educate on their behalf. Each month, a charity in one of four different areas - hunger, wellness, children or the earth - are chosen, and for the month of July, the efforts support the Make-A-Wish® Illinois.
