Hoegaarden Wheat Beer

Created by Hoegaarden monks around 1145, this mild wheat beer is smooth and a notch above its popular American imitator, Blue Moon. I tried it out recently when I was shopping to stock the fridge for a summer barbecue. My husband likes German beer and when I first grabbed it, I thought it was German, but upon a closer look at the label I realized it was actually from Belgium...and it turns out they know how to brew pretty good beer, too.
