J9 Wine Bar!

The foodie sisters, Carrie and Becky, recently went to an event at the sleek and cozy J9 Wine Bar in Lincoln Park and we had a great experience!  Everything from the unique wines, the charcuterie snacks and the warm décor made an impression on us.

My new favorite wine might just might be a Greek wine- a dry, red called Xinomavro!  It was fantastic with the accompanying charcuterie.

The wines are chosen specifically to be unique so that the wine tastings are fun and not-your-normal wines.  All the staff are well-versed in the wines as they rotate (often!) and can help you find a wine that suits your tastes.

The woman-owned biz in Lincoln Park was designed to feel like you're enjoying wine in the comfort of a Chicago home. The front has a wall of windows meant to feel like a three-seasons room and the back area mimics a comfy living room area.

J9 Wine Bar has regular free tastings every other Thursday so make sure to follow them on Instagram to see what's coming up! Every Monday in March, they are featuring women-owned/made wines. Pop in while waiting for your reservation at a nearby restaurant or for a fun night with friends. It's such a great atmosphere and with great wines that change often, I am looking forward to heading back to try something new!
