Pax Verum Brewing Co.: Lapel, Indiana

It's rare that we take a road trip where we don't seek out a new brewery to stop at. When we visited Madison County, Indiana last month, we had a full schedule but as we were packing up to head home, I knew we had to fit in a stop for a flight.

We were a little northeast of Indianapolis and ended up in the little town of Lapel at Pax Verum Brewing. We both loved the laid back vibe of the place. The place was spacious and there were different seating arrangements - some low tables, some comfy chairs in front of a coffee table and even outdoor igloos.

We enjoyed a flight (the one below wasn't ours, but it looked so pretty I had to ask the group near us if I could snap a pic).

Hubby prefers stouts and porters, so that mostly what was in our flight of 5, along with one ale. I also had a taste of a sour I really liked.

They don't serve food here, but I called in an order to Smokey's Concession stand just a block down and ordered a salad and pork tenderloin sandwich and walked down to get it. It was a nice little walk of the mild day and it was a cute spot as well worth paying a visit.
