Roam the Globe with mk's Tasting Menu Series
Last year, mk the Restaurant celebrated its 15th anniversary with the debut of an updated interior, expanded lounge, and a bar bites menu. In 2014, owners Michael and Lisa Kornick and Executive Chef Erick Williams are evolving the restaurant's seasonal tasting menus to spotlight influential cities and regions throughout the world.
"Since opening, we've constantly updated our tasting menus to highlight the best flavors and ingredients of the season," explains Chef Kornick. "This year, we wanted to progress the guest experience - and our own sources of inspiration - by exploring traditional cuisine from some of our favorite food cities and regions."
Starting with Winter in Spain, the restaurant's tasting menu series will transition every 3-4 weeks. Future menus will highlight the Alsace region, Pacific Northwest, and more. Each menu will be rooted in Chefs Kornick and Williams' passion for exploring flavors and techniques from across the globe, paired with wines from mk's celebrated cellar.
