Chili becomes chili cheese dogs


Chili is one of those things that I just make - I don't measure. I throw in things in varying amounts. I love to make chili when I have fresh bell peppers from the garden. The smell is divine! Here's a rundown of what was in the latest batch:

1 lb. browned ground beef
2 hot Italian sausage links, sliced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 cans kidney beans
2 cans diced tomatoes (I like to use seasoned ones)
4 plum tomatoes diced
Approx 2 tsp. chili powder
Pepper, basil and garlic salt to taste


And, as usual, it tasted even better the following day. And...it made for some good chili cheese dogs.
