The British import in Fulton Market District is serving up two original cocktail recipes for St. Patrick's Day in its popular ground floor lounge, The Allis. After all, St. Patrick was from Britain but we don't have to tell anyone that! Crafted by Bar Manager Amy Probasco, guests can sip on one of two festive cocktails under the sparkle of The Allis' signature chandeliers, including Drowning the Shamrock featuring rum, green chartreuse, lime, crème de cocoa, and vanilla simple syrup or the Mott Street Cathedral with Irish Whiskey, Lillet Blanc and orange bitters. In Chicago, Italians even want to get in on the Irish spirit on St. Patrick's Day! Chef Tony Mantuano and Chef Erik Freeberg have created special Irish-themed gelato flavors, such as the Lucky Charm Gelato, as well as a Green Crust Pizza

This Italian Loop restaurant popular for power lunches and seasonal Italian cuisine joins in on the festive fun, along with the rest of the city, and plays Irish this St. Patrick’s Day. On Parade Day, The Florentine will serve up its festive Mint Whip cocktail featuring Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka, Varnelli Caffé Moka, Bailey’s Irish Cream and…drumroll, please…mint infused whip cream. The whip cream is made with cane simple, a new liquid syrup created to easily dissolve into hot and cold beverages while adding flavor and sweetness. This St. Patrick’s Day, celebrate at The Gage where Owners Billy and Catherine Lawless welcome Chicago’s Irish community – and those who are just “Irish for the Day” – on one of the city’s favorite holidays. Guests can pull up a stool at the lively bar and sip on a perfect pint of Guinness and other specialty beers including Harp, Smithwicks, Murphy’s, and Boulevard Irish Ale.  The Gage’s beverage expert Clint Rogers will be serving up a specialty St. Patrick’s Day-themed cocktail – Jenny’s Blade (inspired by the character Jenny Everdeane in the movie Gangs of New York), which includes green tea-infused Jameson Irish Whiskey, Rhine Hall Apple Brandy, galangal, lime and soda ($12), and Wine Director Jon McDaniel encourages wine-lovers to sip on Marques de Irun 2012 “Verde” jo ($11).
